To get a good job in the IT field, a degree is not sufficient, you need to have strong technical knowledge as well. I would recommend you to go for a short term technical course according to the area of your interest or join some company as an intern and gain practical knowledge before going further.

Dear Mohith,
B.Sc Is Bachelor of Science while B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology. In B.Sc, you will study only Science- physics, chemistry & maths. But in B.Tech, you will learn technical things and something new. Both the courses are good but in today's world, there is more demand of technical people. So, B.Tech is the best option but do it from a good college. B.Sc is also a good choice if you have interest in teaching.

It all depends on which college / institute you do it from, and even more importantly what is your own aptitude in terms of exposure, knowledge of the field, communication and presentation skills, operations know-how and street-smartness. You can go ahead and speak to alumni of some event management institutes like NAEMD. https://www.naemd.com/.

When it comes to campus placements, there are many engineering colleges in India that offer great opportunities, but speaking from what I've heard and seen, Chandigarh University stands out.

CU has built strong connections with top companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and IBM, which regularly visit for placements. The highest package at CU has gone above Rs 1.7 CR for international offers, and domestic packages have also been impressive.
