The scope of electrical and electronics engineering is high now and will be far more higher in the future than you can imagine in any other departments. Note that I am telling about the scope and not the demand. There is a hairline difference between scope and demand.
Demand: There will be a demand in all fields of engineering till the world ends because the companies and organisations wants their work to be done in a fast and efficient manner. For that they just want young and enthusiastic minds who can work for hours and yield profit with low salary pay that's why they higher freshers from college and throw them away in 2 or 3 years

To be honest, if you belong to general category, then you will get nothing. But, if you are of other category, then there is also negligible chances of getting the college. Basically, I can further tell you better if you mentioned the marks as well as the category you belong. Since the rank is too low.
