Yes, diploma students of any branch can get admission directly into the second year. You can get lateral entry into VJTI or any other college in Mumbai and Pune.

According to reservation policy in West Bengal, 22% for SC, 6% for ST, 7% for OBC are reserved.
Hence, among 15 seats, 10 are available for general category.

17-19 lakhs excluding mess fees in top IIM and 10-15 lakhs in rest. You can take an education loan for it. If your scores are good, getting an education loan is not a big problem. Just prepare yourself.
