MBA, PGDM and Executive MBA are same when it comes to job. Executive MBA is for experienced professionals. For freshers MBA and PGDM are available. These all are PG degrees but PGDM is a diploma. So better is MBA.

A gap year can be accepted if genuine such as if you gained work experience, etc. You must also have a good academic record and meet entry requirements to be accepted.
