Shiksha is an education portal where students who need career guidance and experts come together.
Preparing for Civil Services require combination of smartness and hard work. Do the right things to gain an edge over your competition:
*Get the right books for Prelims
*Start preparing at least 10 months before
*Solve past year questions to test yourself on regular basis
*Cover the scoring sections early
*Cover the syllabus strategically. Don't go for a "prepare all" approach for prelims
*Balance paper 1 and 2
I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday by reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. You may also refer the books below:

Selecting a college is purely and entirely your decision. It would be tough to state a college as the best as every college has it's own plus and minus points.
You just need to keep in mind the chief point that is to check the recognition whether the college is AICTE / UGC approved or not.
Other than this, you also need to check year of establishment, batch size, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc.
You may directly contact the college officials for specific information.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful.
Wish You Luck!
