To become an Art Director you must have very good color sense and imagination. You may usually start as a Background Designer, or Concept Artist and grow to become an Art Director. You can go for such a job or an Internship which trains you in this. Also sometimes Animators may shift over to art direction though usually they go for Creative Direction. All post graduation in UK is a one year program. You can do MBA also in one year. Because it is one year program please don't think that you are studying less. The same syllabus covered in US for two years is covered in one year.
In US you have many holidays and university functions only 60 weeks in two years. What is covered in 60 weeks is covered for you in 50 weeks in UK
You will have lectures only two or three days in a week. Mostly based on the lecture you have to get involved in a group discussion ( invariably you group will have another 6 foreigners from different countries) and after two three days this group has to give a presentation as what they did. You might have to prepare for the presentation and also after this you have to give your assignment in the following week on that topic. This assignment will be fed in to a software, which will clearly report from where this is copied. You have to do it all in your own words. you might have to collect many data from library and internet to prepare this assignment.

After B.Pharm, you have two options :
1)
You may opt for courses such as :
-Master of Science in Pharmacy
-Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
-Doctor of Pharmacy
-Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy
-Post Graduate Diploma in Principles of Clinical Pharmacology
2)
After obtaining a diploma or degree in pharmacy :
- You can apply in good pharma companies as a Medical Representative. You can apply for pharmacist post in hospitals.
-You may start work in government department.
-You may even do research and development work.
-You may work in teaching field.
-After registering with the state Pharmacy Council you may set up your own pharmacy or chemists and druggists shop to stock and sell medicines and dispense them according to doctor's prescription.

It is rewarding but demanding field where your creative abilities & passion for the medium will hold the key to growth. Learning Software alone won't help you. First acquire artistic skills on paper, then learn application software's for expressing skills in the Digital Medium. Gaming calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
To select right option, you must verify and analyse various option based on Faculty, Infrastructure, Placement etc.
