If you talk about the current situation biotechnology is at a budding stages in India, whereas, in foreign countries it has already created its niche, but in long run India is going to see a immense growth in Biotechnology field so by the time you complete your degree and ready to get into the field you have seen a manifold growth in the field, not only this Biotechnology students can also get into other technology related field.
Biotechnology is a field which amalgamates Biology with technology. This technology helps in research and development of various vaccines. The areas where biotechnology has grown in India include Bioinformatics, Agricultural biotechnology, Bio fertilizers, National Bio-resource Development, Plant Biology, Marine Biotechnology and the like.
As far as Entrance examination is concerned if you are looking for Biotech Engineering you have to sit for an Entrance whereas if you are planning to get into B.Sc programmes, most of the institutes will take you on merit basis.

i have seen many illiterate pple who work for peanuts but r learning some new things to increase knowledge n live better
education is helps to enhance knowledge n improve life n thought process
if u want to do masters in finance plz do it now as it will be more enjoyable for u now as u r well settled n u r doing masters to gain more knowledge n above all there no fear of losing anything now so u will study better n excel in life in a better way

Hi Abhishek, at least a 70% is expected. RWTH is one the best Universities offering a variety of courses. Admission is very difficult so you should put up a strong application. Work well on your essays and GRE scores. A 1300 above is preferable in GRE.
There are 2 intakes in a yearSep/Oct and MArch/April. The application and admission process takes about 9 months so youneed to plan accordingly. Thedeadline for Sep/Oct intake is in Jan and for March /Aprilintake is in July. Hence, youwill need to make an early application.
Once the University receives your application they may takeabout 3-4 months to inform youof the decision. Not all Univmay intimate you if your application is incomplete, hence it is your duty to ensure thatyou send all the requested documents in one go to avoid anylast minute issues.
If you do not want to apply directly or are apprehensive youtake help from UNI ASSIST. they charge Euro 55 for their service of applying to 2-3 univ.And additional Euro 15 per univ.

Hi Pragyna, if you have studied from a recognised University in India, then your degree is valid all over the world.
But to be able to practice or study MDS in any country abroad you will need to clear the registration exam of the respective country. in the UK you need to appear for MFDS or MJDS exams. the registration will not only let you attend a clinical course but also help you to practise after completion of the course. Applying and attaining registration can take time. So if you do not want to wait and want to take up studies immediately then you can go for non clinical courses like oral hygiene, dental public health. You will need to appear for MJDS exam previously known as MFDS. The details about the exam can be had from this link : www.mjdf.org.uk/
