You can go for B.Tech lateral entry I.e.direct admission in IInd year of B.Tech. For lateral entry either give LEET or opt for good private universities where admission is based on their own tests or marks in diploma. They offer world class environment to students along with good placements. Some even offer good scholarships to students.

Better would be to join integrated/ dual Diploma B.Tech course where you save your one year as well as pressure of entrance tests.
After doing a diploma you get direct admission in second year of B.Tech. There are many universities in India that are offering you these integrated/ dual Diploma- B.Tech courses. Some of them are also offering you scholarships based on your percentage in your previous qualification.
So, I feel instead of simply doing a diploma and then again starting with the search for a college/ university for B.Tec

Apart from B.Com (Pass), you have courses like B.Com (H), B.Com (Finance), B.Com (Professional) etc which offer better prospects. There are many universities like LPU, DBU, JKLU, etc are offering Integrated/ dual B.Com-M.Com/ B.Com-MBA too.

Another thing is go for 12th form NIOS keeping in mind that JEE has age limit so, in case that is something that you won't fulfill after doing 12th from NIOS than don't waste your precious time.
There are many courses available these days to go for.
If you have any passion for computers you can go for BCA or B.Sc Computer Science or B.Sc IT.
If you want to learn the tricks of management or want to start your own business, BBA
