Hi Shreyas,
GITAM University is a decent Engineering University, and comes under the top 100 Engineering colleges in India. As far as the placements are concerned, although every good University tries to bring the best of companies on their campus but, more than the institute the placement is dependent on your own capabilities, the way you perform on the programme & how you use the knowledge earned at the time of job placements.
Hope this resolves your query. Feel free to put up more queries In case your query is resolved please close this question by choosing it as a best answer or pressing the thumbs up icon.

hello Dhanesh, since you have done your B.Sc in industrial chemistry, it's better thay you continue your PG in the same field. Almost all factories(Bulk drug maufacturing companies, sugar industries, iron and steel, cement factories) require either B.Tech (chemical enn) or M.Sc Ind. Chem for working as chemists. The next promotion would be chief chemist and as you go up the ladder, you can become plant manager. Plz getback if you have any questions.
All the very best,
Gomti

Hello Saikira, All the best for the exam which you are going to write on 22nd. Hope that you have prepared well for the same. Don't stress too much in the last minute and just revise what you have done all these. Yes, you can join JNTU or JNTU affiliated collegs, but that depends on the rank you get in EAMCET. If your rank is less than 200 then you'll have a chance to get campus admission.
Else, there are some very good colleges affiliated to JNTU sch as CBIT, Srinidhi, Gokaraju Ranga Raju etc. in which you can try.
All the very best for your future endeavors,
Gomti
