Hi Konark,
Few of the institutes under IP University those providing Mechanical Engineering are: MAIT, Indra Gandhi Institute of Technology, HMR Institute of Technology and Management, NIEC, ASET, GPMCE and GB PANT etc. As far as Placements and Academics are concerned MAIT tops the chart. Hope this resolves your query. Feel free to put up more queri

As far as placements are concerned I would say that all the good Institutes, like MAIT, GB Pant, and IGIT etc. all try to get best of companies on their campuses, but more than institute, the placements would depend on your capabilities, performance on the programme and how you use the knowledge earned at the time of job placements.
However, if you have to choose between Mechaniacl and Electricals, Mechanical is a much wider field than electricals but in scope I would say both are high

Hi Ipshita,
In order to pursue Phd from universities in US, you need to first of all make a list of the universities that you aspire for, and then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students.
