Hi,
Media is a very broad term which includes many things such as journalism, production, direction, cinematography, advertising etc. and thus it is very difficult to study all at Bachelors level. Therefore a PG is recommended for Media students so that they can opt one domain of Media and specialize in that. Also if you look at the courses offered by Media institutes, it says PG in Advertising, PG in PR etc.
