Well Ashish, specialized level of technology after M.Tech and faster growth rate after MBA are the two statements I never agree as I, myself have both the degrees and 30 years of experience in varied fields. First of all, what is your current aggregate in B.E. so far? That will decide your capability to score above 98 percentile in GATE or in CAT. Because your selection to IITs and IIM/top-20 will decide your future growth. Other than these institutions, your PG degree will fetch you only marginal benefits compared to pure B.E. The second aspect is that as E&TC graduate, in private sector, you will have to chalk out a path in IT sector, however, if you choose to be in DRDO, ISRO, Defense, ONGC, NTPC etc, you will work in your own field of E&TC.
As a fresher, if you go for MBA, you will never work in engineering field. Also, majority of case studies, discussions on leaderships, decision making, inventory management etc shall remain theoretical without any work experience.
Therefore, come to your point of view. Why do you want to do PG? Because, you want more rewarding job. MS/MBA from USA will be most rewarding if you get admission to Ivy league college. Second best would be IIT/IIM degree. Third best, try to get placed.
