For admission into the MBA programme at Lovely Professional University (LPU), candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate marks. While it is not mandatory to have scores from national-level management entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, NMAT, or CUET, candidates who have these scores are given preference and may be exempted from the university's own entrance exam, known as LPUNEST. However, if a candidate has not appeared for any of the national-level tests, they can still apply by qualifying LPUNEST, which is LPU's in-house test designed to assess a student's aptitude for management education.

In addition to the entrance test, the selection process includes a video essay submission and a personal interview to evaluate communication skills, leadership potential, and overall suitability for the programme. LPU ensures that deserving candidates from various academic backgrounds get a fair opportunity to pursue management education by offering multiple admission pathways.
