IAS is a exam conducted by UPSC . The syllabus for IAS exam generally covers all subjects . Syllabus of IAS exam includes topics related to languages, social studies ,science and maths .
So Languages and social studies are the subjects which can be understood by self study . You can start parallel study of political science and economics.
But maths and science are the subjects which have their own ways , proper method ,or step by step understanding through reasoning for studying .
So these subjects need proper channel or guidance at every stage .
So to make your concepts clear in these subjects it is better to study in science stream.

my friend first before chooseing any COLLEGE plzz c weather it is approved by AICTE or not.
As per my knowledge LPU IS A GOOD UNIVERSITY WITH LOOTS OF SCHOLARSHIP U CAN APPLY,BUT IT IS NOT APPROVED BY AICTE BUT APPROVED BY UGC.
MANY WILL TELL THAT IA DOES NOT MATTER BUT IT MATTERS A LOOT,atlst if u are in engineering field ur college or university that particular engineering department should be approved by AICTE.
IF U REALLY WANT TO STUDY AUTOMOBILE ENGG GO TO CHENNAI, ANNA UNIVERSITY IS BEST FOR AUTOMOBILE ENGG. MADRAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IS THE BEST OF AUTOMOBILE ENGG.

No, there is no banned on MH-CET. MH-CET 2016 will be held on 5th may 2016.
Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell shall conduct “Common Entrance Test” MHT-CET-2016 for admission to First Year of Full Time Degree Courses of Health Sciences.
: Online Application Form Filling Process is Over
The last date for making the payment was 31st March, 2016.
