NEHU Entrance Test (NEHUT) organized solely by the university, which accounts for 70% of the score. UGC-NET, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and ICAR-NET are also recognised examinations with a weightage of 30% each. Furthermore, NEHU Tura accepts CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) scores as well whose percentile score cutoff of 50-60% exists. The total number of seats on offer for MSW is close to 150 with 25% of it reserved for SC/ST candidates.

The MAT 2024 registration process for the December session is open for the CBT Phase 1 exam, and the last date is Nov 30, 2024. For PBT and CBT Phase 2 exams, the registration ends on Dec 7 and Dec 15, 2024, respectively. Further, MAT 2024 CBT Phase 1, PBT, and CBT Phase 2 exams will be scheduled on Dec 7, Dec 14, and Dec 22, 2024, respectively.

for the admission MCA course candidates must have passed Bachelor degree of any discipline with securing minimum of 50% aggregate for General category and in case of st/sc it is 45% .

Candidate are requested to apply online on payment of ?500/- and ?250/- (for sc/st category) 

Admission will be on the basis of the marks secured at the qualifying examination and a valid score of CUET (pg) conducted by NTA

Tura Campus offers MBA in three fields such as 1)MBA (general) 2) MBA in service management 3) MBA in agri-business management .

The eligibility criteria for the MBA courses at NEHU are as  follows :

• students must apply through CUET/non Cuet form, admission is based on the CUET score or MAT score respectively  
• Have a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university/ institution 
• for the General category must have 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent and 45% for Sc/St candidates in their 3year of graduation 
• those who appearing in the final uear examination and awaiting for results can also apply 
• Candidate must have a valid CUET (PG) / MAT SCORE

The MSc in Horticulture programme at NEHU, Tura is one of the best programs in the country that is primarily research-based and which incorporates a lot of fieldwork. The Department also has 15 faculty members with PhDs who have completed 20 research projects funded by ICAR, DBT and UGC. The programme enjoys an excellent placement record of 85%, with graduates getting jobs in ICAR, KVK and various horticulture departments.

NEHU Tura offers two types of courses namely - General courses and second is professional courses. 
General courses Like: Masters In Arts (M.A) in anthropology, economics, education, English, geography, history, Hindi, journalism and mass communication, Khasi, linguistics, philosophy, political Science and sociology. 
It also offers a Master in Science (M.Sc) which includes chemistry, biochemistry, environmental sciences, physics, statistics etc.

NEHU also offers several PH and Ph.D courses in different fields. 

There are also professional courses such as Bachelor of law (B.A LLB), Bachelor of tech (B.Tech ), Bachelor of Architecture, master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Business Administration ( MBA), Master of Science in Horticulture etc.

Naveen Chandra Mehta Institute of Technology and Development is a privately run institute and hence its expenditure is met from the fees collected from the students. As a result, not only this institute but institutes similarly placed have hardly any financial leverage to offer scholarships to students. However, the Government of Maharashtra offers reimbursement of tuition fees to students who come from socially challenged sections. In addition to this one or two students do get reimbursement of tuition fees from private people who donate for this purpose. On the other hand, there is a well-laid-out facility for availing student loans from different banks.
