ADMISSION TO AIT
Availability of Seats
1. For the BE courses commencing July 2010, 240 seats are available at AIT (60 seats each in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology), for wards of Army personnel through AIEEE Merit.
Eligibility Criteria
2. The eligibility criteria for admission to AIT is published in detail in the Prospectus being made available in February every year. Brief outline is as below :-

I would like to say that as you are a diploma holder in Mech. Engineering it will be better that you continue in the current stream itself as journalism is entirely a different domain. However if you are keen to pursue journalism course from AP college of Journalism, the institute offers diploma programes in the same.

You must have above 60% in a relevant subject plus an interest in the following: dental public health, community dentistry, preventive programmes, health promotion, special needs care. Ideally BDS is required ,Evidence of experience of research, report writing or relevant knowledge desirable. Also in IELTS 7.0 overall; minimum 6.0 in all skills.
