NIMCET is a national level entrance test conducted by NITs for admission to their MCA programme. The admission to MCA programme offered by all the NITs that participate in NIMCET is based on the rank obtained in NIMCET.
Eligibility:
Examination:Indian Nationals securing 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% or 6.0/10 CGPA for
the SC/ST) in each of the examinations of (i) 12 level with Mathematics and (ii) Bachelor's Degree of Full time 3 year duration from a recognized University with any one of :
a. Mathematics b. Statistics c. Business Mathematics d. Discrete Mathematics e. Mathematical
Foundations of Computer Science f. Business Statistics g. Computational Mathematics
h.Elementary Mathematics i. Elementary Statistics as one ofthesubjects.
Those who have done Bridge Course in Mathematics are also eligible to apply. The
percentage marks for (i) and (ii) above will be calculated on the basis of method used by respective Board / University.
Students completing degree from Open Universities are also eligible to apply provided
their course is approved by UGC/AICTE and Distance EducationCouncil(DEC) ofGovt. ofIndia.
