If you had maths as a subject in your 12th class you can definitely do engineering in DU and cleared the entrance exam. Good luck.

Tell him whatever he is studying, make short notes so that in final exam he has to only read the notes. Don't get panic.

You can look for MBA in Finance/Banking-Insurance Domain. There are many good colleges offering post graduate in these domians. Along with post-graduation you can appear for exams like CFA/FRM/NCFM/CPA. These certifications while enhance your skill set. First of all I would want to ask that is it just a yearlong gap you want to take or more? If it is just a yearlong gap then you can join in somewhere as an intern and get a little work experience along with that then start preparing for the entrance exams. I would say to have some work experience of about 2 years and then go for MBA. 1 year of experience would also work, so find out a job for yourself in the stream you would want to go further in (HR, marketing, finance and operations).

Yes, you are eligible, if you have bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate and mathematics in 10+2 and graduation is compulsory. There are many good colleges offering M.Sc in Hyderabad.
