Things to be kept in mind while choosing engineering branch are:
1. Your interest
2. Placements of that branch in that college
3. GATE/govt jobs available
Do not compromise on your interest. The second and third points can be shuffled based on whether you want to go for govt job or campus placement.

While most of the time its your rank in the entrance that decides which college will you get esp. for IITs, nits and IIITs but if you hv the privilege of choosing your college so do a pre-research work on the following:
1. What branch hv u thought of joining and which colleges are best in it ( atleast 3 to be shortlisted)
2. Talk to the alumni about faculty, infrastructure, placements, etc to make a good decision.
3. Alternative branch also to be kept ready if you are not offered what you wished for.
Hope this helps

Hi Nayan, depends where you want to go. CS from India alone has very little value in US even though you qualify to get a job anywhere in the world. A bachelor degree in business or an MBA will help. You may find number of opportunities in London, UK as there is a collaboration with ICSI and ICAI - UK. Hope it helps.

Dear Priya, As we know that Business Schools are known to bridge the gap from being a normal individual to being a good professional. Every student aspires to get a degree from the best B-schools. It depends from Institute to Institute, streams to streams, caliber to caliber and the efforts you're putting in order to work hard in your field of interest. A basic fresher from an average Institute might start from 10-15K and an average person from a reputed Institute might began it from 25-30k depending all on the Institute.
