Although, there are not many institutes providing Buddhist studies through Distance education but you can try with IGNOU, Panjab University, University of Hyderabad, Magadh University, Acharya Nagarjuna University and Nalanda Open University etc.

However I would also suggest you to make the list of universities where you wish to take transfer, and then contact the international admission department of these universities either through phone or email and ask whether they permit transfer of students, and if they permit, you can request them to provide you the information regarding the same.
