The B.Com. programme provides a good knowledge base for a range of careers. These are broadly of two types:
Those in business and finance such as CA, company secretaryship (CS), cost and works accountants, banking and so on.
Others, including or related to finance, law. mass communication, hotel management, civil services, etc.
A commerce education can lead to jobs with corporations and banks as investment bankers, managers, financial consultants, accountants, advisers etc.
Accountancy is key in this field and if you are good with numbers, you can excel. IAS:Indian Administrative Exam
You must have graduation degree from a recognized university for IAS and your age should be 21 to 30 years so you are eligible for IAS exam after completing engineering degree.
Eligibility criteria in details:
Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs.
Number of Attempts:
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.
