The Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) is a 4 year professional certication course conducted by the Institution of Engineers based in Kolkata. Well the minimum eligibility as correctly mentioned by Ankit is a minimum graduate degree from a valid university. As for the preparation is concerned, there are mainly 3/4 sections in the paper and these are:
Quantitative Aptitude
Logical Reasoning,

Sovan, May be well reputed companies may not prefer a Non-Technical Graduate as their technical Professional, but there are thousands of mid-size companies who employs graduates like you in their companies by seeing the technical competence and exposure.
Gain Experience and exposure in relevant domain in smaller companies and then try for mid-size companies for placement

Hi Criztle,
Almost all the good Law Institutes take admission through CLAT. However, there are few institutes who conduct their own CETs such as GGSIPU, UPES, KIIT Law School, etc. There are several others like Delhi University, Punjab university etc. who also have Institute specific CET but they provide LLB only for which you need to be a graduate.
As far as preparation is concerned as different Institutes will have different Exam pattern it would be difficult to give you any concrete information on how to prepare. However, the common factor among all the Entrance Examinations is Legal Aptitutde, so do put your focus on that.

Hi Akshay, University of Southampton is different from Southampton solent University.
The courses on offer may be similar in names but differ in many aspects, requirements of the courses also differ.
To get a clear insight you should refer to the TQA (Teaching Quality assessment) ratings of the department/course that you intend to go for.
