No, many institutes consider the GRE as an equivalent test for their admission process, although it is recommended you take GMAT to stay relevant in placements. Research shows that most of those who get in using GRE, take the GMAT while in college to appeal to potential employers

I am not sure about the colleges in Bangalore, but I know a friend who pursued B.Tech Aerospace Engineering with Specialization in Avionics (http://www.upes.ac.in/upes_btech/aerospace_engg_with_specialization_avionics.php) from University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, and is now placed as a Satellite Engineer and is earning pretty well.

1. Accreditation: As LPU got accreditation from Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs, USA (ACBSP). Not only LPU is highly accredited but also it is having numerous international tie ups for instance university of North Alabama, Livingstone College etc.

Sociology is a great subject. You have already completed your PG. What was your dream when you started on this journey? There are numerous short term post PG courses. But you want a job or still want to study further. For teaching job, it's better to clear the NET exam. There are plenty of other job opportunities also. But that won't be the case initially.
