It is good to keep knowledge about other activities into a college. However, the prime focus should be on studies. I believe you should go ahead and work hard in your stream of education and achieve new heights.

Hello Harshitha,
Since last many years due to acute competition for admission in engineering colleges, almost each Open University and some others were offering engineering via distance education. But, recently SC of India cancelled almost all these degrees.
Hence, my sincere advice to you is to not fall into this trap of pursuing engineering via distance education.

Indian Railways fill their class I officers requirement by Indian Engineering Services examination, SCRA or promotion of class Ii officer to class I based on performance and experience. Unfortunately CSE is not a subject in Engineering Services Examination conducted by UPSC and you are not eligible for SCRA (it is after 12th). You may have to appear in Electronics paper in IES to become qualified to join Indian Railways. You can appear on Class II railway officer's job advertised regularly by RRB (Railway Recruitment Boards).
