It is very important that distance education should be earned from a recognized university or college. Approval should come preferably through Joint Committee- U.G.C-A.I.C.T.E-D.E.C

I feel if you have patience, you can do both the courses.
You may initially do CWA since it will be easier for you due to finance background. Afterwards, you may claim exemptions and pursue for CS course. According to me, the process will be over in less than 5 years if you complete all exams in the first attempt.

To be eligible :
1)A candidate should have a degree of graduation in any field from any recognized university.
2)A candidate in his final year is also eligible for the civil services exam.
3)A candidate's age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
4)A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
