Dear Naina,
CSAT generally is not based on some specific subject. It is a mix up of objective type general knowledge questions on several general topics, as you can see from the syllabus, which you can download from the following site of the UPSC:
http://www.upsc.gov.in/exams/misc/csp2011-syll.pdf
So, better perk up your general knowledge by several revisions in those subjects rather than relying on any particular subject.

To be eligible to appear for the exam you must have your registration to be able to practise in home country. If you are eligible and your course and university from where you have studies is recognised by AMC then you will be informed by AMC. until then just wait. You can find out if your univ is registered by referring to World Health Organization (WHO) publication World Directory of Medical Schools, in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), or in other publications approved by the AMC. Any score above 1100 would increase your chances of getting admission in this university. the higher you score, the better chances of getting admission.
You would also be required to take the TOEFL. Target a score above 90 in the TOEFL to maximize your chances of admission.
