Diploma in Nautical Science:
This course has an approval from the Director General of Shipping, Government of India. To obtain this certification one will have to go through a training period of 12 months. Here, aspirants shall get practical training in addition to familiarity with a variety of aspects that encompass Carpentry, Machine Shop, Electrical shop and Plumbing etc. Those who are interested in seafaring will require an additional STCW course. Upon the successful accomplishment of this program, aspirants will be awarded the Diploma in Nautical Science by the prestigious Indian Maritime University (IMU).
B.Sc.(NAUTICAL SCIENCE):
They are responsible for safe navigation, cargo handling and allied duties on board ship. They are employed in the deck department of the ship and are normally called as"Deck Cadet". They undertake the routine maintenance of the vessel including chipping, painting, greasing, repairs to the Ship's hull, superstructure. They are trained to operate the deck machinery like cranes, derricks and also undertake the steering of the vessel at sea. At sea they are employed as look outs on the bridge under the officer on duty.
A competent "Deck Cadet" can aspire to become the Master (Captain) of a Merchant ship on completion of required seatime and qualifying career enhancing examinations conducted by the DGS at different levels.
B.Sc in Maritime / Marine science
Marine science is a division of science that deals with the nautical architecture and science. Marine science basically is meant for research conducted in oceans and coastal or inland waters connected to the sea.

Cost Of Study
Canadian University are cheapest among UK, USA, Australia. The Commonwealth scholarship is one source of funding for Canadian Universities at the post-graduate level (for Masters in Canada) , but is restricted to a very limited number of students of exceedingly high intellectual promise who live in Commonwealth countries.

As for CDAC and DOEACC, always remember, selecting an institute is purely and entirely your decision. It would be tough to state an institute as the best as every institute has it's own plus and minus points.
While selecting, you need to check some of the important parameters such as year of establishment, batch size, syllabus, faculty, fees, placements etc.
Be careful while selecting a college as merely getting a degree is not enough for this competitive world.

This program has a two-fold objective: to develop a broad but fundamentally sound background in basic subjects in chemical engineering, and to provide the opportunity for in-depth study in a specific area of research interest. The first aim is met by completing a sequence of required and elective courses. These include courses in the core areas of transport phenomena, thermodynamics, kinetics, and engineering math, as well as elective courses focusing on specific research areas.
