Yes, it is a good choice, there are many demands of game design developer in market, not only in India but abroad too. If you are doing Diploma in game design, then you can get a good job, or do freelance, but if you want to grow more than I would suggest you to do Masters in game design. Most of abroad companies require Master's degree for providing you jobs.

If a university/college states that they need at least 50% aggregate as your graduation marks, they mostly never admit anyone scoring less than 50%, irrespective of your entrance exam score and overall profile. Though they might admit someone(only if it's a very genuine case), but the chances are extremely low. And if that university is a reputed one, then no chance of getting through via management quota/donation. Better choose a university which doesn't consider your graduation score.
Good luck.

Depends on what kind of life you want to live. If you are in the boy's hostel class is like 300 m from your room (if you can manage to get the hostel). There are a number of canteens in the campus for better food. Also, the campus is small so you don't have to walk much. Only attendance is a bit cumbersome (75%). There is a big cricket ground where you can play. Overall the life is fun.

The placement of UEM, Kolkata is yet to be done because the university was established in 2015 and none of the batches passed from the university till date. But, placement of UEM, Jaipur is good. In 2016, all students of UEM, Jaipur got 1-2 job offers on an average. If someone studies well in UEM then he/she definitely has a good placement opportunity because placements will be done along with IEM. So, UEM students can also get good placement like the students of IEM. Since there is a chance that IEM students will grab more job offers than UEM in joint placement. So, UEM Kolkata will conduct placement twice for their students- 1. Once
