It is always advisable to take GRE at least a year in advance of your planned admission intake, so that you can get plenty of time for preparation, since you are in second year of graduation, you can from now onwards start preparing for GRE, so that you can get lot of practice and you can get very good score, which can get you admission in good and top ranked universities. You can join the coaching class for GRE preparation.
