Perfusion technology is the study which involves the functionality and the procedure of the machinery that is used at the time of replacement of patient's respiratory system during a medical cure / operation.
A perfusionist experts in operating heart lung machines during cardiopulmonary bypass also other areas in which one can develop his/ her knowledge is ECMO,balloon pump monitoring, isolated limb perfusion and auto transfusion and more.
If planning to pursue a major in the same, In India there are rarely any option for the same yet you may refer to the ones like:

If you are appearing for the PMT exam, I would suggest you to cover each and every topic of your +2 (11th and 12th) curriculum. You can refer to some of the well known author reference texts like Pradeep's, Arihant etc.
Also you can take up coaching where in a lot of competitiveness is brought out and one can easily analyze the areas of strength and corners of improvements and can start working accordingly. You can also consider solving sample exams / previous papers as this would make you more comfortable with the pattern of exam available.

All Admissions in University College of Engineering - Kerala are done through GATE.Eligibility for admission:
a) The candidates shall be an Indian National
b) The candidates should have studied the Graduate course in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities.
c) For Industrial Engineering & Management, the candidates shall have B.Tech Degree in any Engineering discipline, but for other branches, the candidates shall have Degree in the respective branches of engineering awarded by the Universities of Kerala, or equivalent.
d) Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient.
e) Candidates, who have passed AMIE/AMIETE Examinations.
g) Admission shall normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates.
h) In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE score will be considered against such vacancies.

hi Vimal, first of all you have not specified the level of course you are enquiring about. In the UK, UG engineering programs are of 3 years in duration. Courses commence in September and one can not apply directly to the Universities(most of them). You need to apply through UCAS and the last date is 30 June. You have the provision of applying to 5 Universities and UCAS charges GBP 21 for it. There is a small intake in Jan, for which you don't have to go through UCAS and you can apply directly. At least 50% in 12 to get into the bottom ranked university or college. Or if you take the foundation route then you will have to study for an extra year and for that the course will commence in Jan and the main course in sep. IELTS minimum of 6.0 is expected.
PG - All Masters courses are 1 year in duration. Classes commence generally in September though there is a small intake in January. Recommended to have at least 60% in graduation and 6.5 in IELTS.
