Wait list 16 can be converted but category wait list will have a slight chance. If got converted you won't have any disadvantages being a fresher. Lot of companies do visit campus solely dedicated for freshers.
But, I cannot comment on conversion for wait list 16 because it will solely depend on the students who got converted in the first merit list who will be taking admissions. So, it will depend on that number.

Below mentioned are the details of some courses:
1. Diploma or class 10th pass from a recognized board with minimum 40% marks.
2. Bachelor's degree: Class 12th examination with at least 50% marks.
