Since you are from science stream, myself being engineering student, if you have interest in engineering then only go for it that too from a good college, else choose BCA or B.Sc honors with subject of your interest, you have other options too. If you go for B.Tech then you should be sure of getting into technical field coming out of it is quite difficult.
Also, you must know the engineering scenario in India, if you are an average student and getting average college then choosing B.Tech is not a wise decision, I have gone through it, sharing my personal experience.

The requirements differ and depend on whether you want to do a course based or research based MS program. A research or thesis based MS is very difficult to get into. Please check here for details and accordingly check the requirements:
