Although, you can apply for Part time MBA programmes but as you had a backlog you would require explaining the reason for that backlog at the time of personal interview. Secondly, the eligibility to sit for MBA Entrance Examination (which you need to appear for in case you are planning for a decent full time programmes like FMS, MDI etc.) is 50% and above aggregate marks from a recognized University. So in case you fulfill these criteria go ahead.
Few of the Universities providing Part time MBA in Chennai are:
Loyala Institute of Business Administration (LIBA)
Sathyabama Deemed University
Bharath Institute of Higher Education

Though I must admit that you have quite a low percentile in MAT, still I would suggest you give it a try for the good thing is that MAPS considers not only your test scores, but also your class 10, 12 and graduation percentage along with your extra curricular activities. So, if you had, lets say, been a good athlete in school, then you stand a fair chance of getting through.
The best thing they have a designated placement cell which is headed by people like R. Jayaraman, who is an MBA from IIM-A with plenty of years of leadership and CEO and Anuj Ahuja, who is from IIM-B and has been a visiting faculty to top business schools in D

To get into Space Sciences programmes generally the eligibility criteria is a Master's degree in Physics or a B.Tech in Environmental Sciences. However, the eligibility may vary from Institute to Institute, I am really doubtful that whether MCA will make you eligible for this programme or not. However, few of the institute where you can look for Space Science and related programmes are: IIST, CSSTEAP, Amity Institue of Space Science and Technology.

Well there are hardly any institutes in the country to offer One year graduate degree and in fact as per the education system of the country a single sitting graduation is not accepted as a valid education mode and hence you need to pursue a valid graduation in which the duration should at least be of 3 years and offered by a regulated and valid University.
All the Best!

MAPS is quite a decent institute. It is backed by two of the largest educational companies - Educomp, India and Raffles, Singapore. And i have heard that this institute focuses more on learning rather then cramming, which is why practical and hands on learning, industry training, entrepreneurship development sessions form an integral part of the academics here. And this kind of a curriculum does help to get good placements.
