It's not true. It depends from which college you pursue your engineering. If you graduate from IIT NIT you won't ever regret of taking mechanical. But if you do from private, I am not sure what can be the condition. But still hard work matters. You can even go for PSUs through GATE. Their pay is much higher.

In my personal view, I would prefer NIIT University over UPES-Dehradun, for the below mentioned reasons. One of the added bonus is that of the NIIT legacy, belonging to the IT background, NIIT proves to be a strong backbone for NU. It has been in the software development and IT for the past few decades. Hi,
You can surely pursue this course but before that, you need to complete your 10+2 from a recognized board of education like CBSE, ICSE or equivalent. You cannot pursue the course right after 10th.

Hi Lakshmi,
The eligibility criteria for nearly all universities in India is a 12th or equivalent pass with minimum 50%.
Whether you do it in Arts, Science, Commerce or Vocational, it hardly rarely matters.

Yes, you might get but I'm not sure. It varies from branch to branch.
If you are opting CSE or ECE it's highly difficult. If you are going with other branches like civil, EEE, mechanical, EIE you might have a chance.

Both are having a lot of scope. With Computer Science and Engineering, you can get a job in MNCs and by doing Aerospace Engineering, you will get a job as the scientist, if you have a good score.

Your score are not enough to fetch you a NIT. You can go for private colleges, if you prefer CSE. But, go for good reputed ones. Though the fees may be higher. Even you can try for your state colleges.

UPES is a good college to pursue BCA. You can go for the same college. There are many other colleges in Dehradun like:
Doon Business School
UIT
Dolphin Institute
ICFAI
You can compare them but you'll end up choosing UPES or DBS.

Hi Vimlesh,
You can pursue a design course like Fashion or textile design, web designing, interior design, product design, automobile design and so on. You may also go for animation or mass communication if that interests you.
