Does your college have a placement cell? If yes, then they are under an obligation to make efforts in that direction. If not, then you can seek guidance from your seniors, who are already placed somewhere. As far as a party is concerned, it is just an emotional parting ritual You will have many such occasions in the future. Was there any untoward behavior from your side which made them ban you from entering the college premises? There must be SOME reason. You have not given the full facts. Please be more elaborate.

I hope you have a strong reason, for having narrowed down, on doing your MBA in HR. You cannot become a successful HR professional. You need to have it in you, to make a mark in HR. Assuming, you have done your homework, you should look at giving your CAT exam. CAT is held once a year, in the month of October - November, with a 20 day window period. You have to score at least 90 percentile in CAT, to have a realistic chance, of making it to a reputed B School. On the other hand, you also have B Schools, which are known for HR, like XLRI and TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences)
