In NIT Surathkal the last rank(AIR) admitted via other state quota is around 12,000 odd , its 11,000 odd for NIT Trichy in OS category and is 14,000 odd for NIT Warangal. The last ranks are for the branch Metallurgy in Trichy and Surathkal and for Biotech in Warangal. The closing rank is lesser in magnitude for circuit branches and other branches. With respect to previous year statistics, a rank of 12,000 odd can be achieved with around 160 in JEE Mains and >95%(CBSE). This is just an odd estimate as the board matters and it also depends on the overall performance of all the candidates in that particular year.
