All three, the CLAT ISAT, and AILET are popular law exams in India. The differences between these exams are as follows:
1. ISAT India: This exam is conducted by the Law School Admission Council. With the ISAT score, you can get admission to more than 25 private law colleges. You can get admission to law colleges such as the O. P. Jindal Global University, the IFIM Law School, and Adamas University. The exam duration is 140 minutes for 92 questions. The three subjects are divided into four sections, which are analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, and reading comprehension. The ISAT has a score range of 420 to 480, and there is no negative marking. It is regarded as the easiest of the three law entrance exams.
2. CLAT This exam is conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. With ACLAT score, you can get admission to more than 22 NLUs in India. You can get admission to the top law university, NLSIU Bangalore, with ACLAT score. The exam duration is 120 minutes for 150 questions. There are a total of five sections, including Legal Reasoning quantitative techniques, logical reasoning, general knowledge, and English. The total score is 150, with 0.25 deducted for incorrect answers. It is regarded as the second-the toughest of the three law entrance exams.
3. AILET This exam is required for admission to NLU, Delhi, which is the second-best law university in India according to NIRF. The exam pattern and marking are similar to CLAT. The only difference is that, according to the most recent syllabus, quantitative and legal aptitudes will not be asked in the upcoming exam. Also, the question difficulty level is slightly higher than CLAT. It is the toughest of all law exams due to limited seats and high competition at the NLU, Delhi University.

If you want to take admission in the B.A. LL.B. Course at NLU, Delhi, then AILET is your only option. If you want to have more options, you have to take the CLAT exam.
1. The CLAT is conducted by a consortium of NLUs for undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses. You can get admission to 22 national law universities with ACLAT score.
2. The CLAT is the gateway to getting admission into India's best law university (NIRF), the NLSIU Bangalore, whereas the AILET can get you admission into India's second-best law university (NIRF), the NLU, Delhi.
3. The CLAT exam has five sections in total, whereas the AILET exam has only three sections. The updated syllabus removed mathematics and legal aptitude from the AILET exam.
4. The AILET question paper has comparably tougher questions than the CLAT exam.
5. With a CLAT score, you will have substantially more options for government law schools than AILET. Therefore, depending on which law college you want admission to, you can give either the AILET or CLAT exam.

The syllabus of CLAT and AILET is similar for topics such as reasoning, general knowledge, and English. The CLAT has two additional sections: quantitative reasoning and Legal Reasoning. According to experts, the following are the section-wise recommended books for both law exams:
1. English Language: For AILET Objective General English by RS Aggarwal and English Grammar and Composition by Wren & Martin is suggested. For CLAT you can prefer Objective General English 2023 by SP Bakshi or RS Aggarwal and The Pearson Guide to the CLAT by Pearson.
2. Current Affairs and General Knowledge: You can choose either CA magazine for both exams. Normally, Pratiyogita Darapan or Current Affairs Yearly by Arihant are preferred for CA. For GK, Arihant General Knowledge, Lucent, or Tarun Goyal's GK book can be preferred. You must also read newspapers regularly for both law exams.
3. Logical Reasoning: For this section, usually any good reasoning book, such as A Modern Approach to Logical Reasoning by RS Agarwal, Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey, or A New Approach to Verbal and Analytical Reasoning by Arihant, can be followed.
4. Quantitative Techniques: This section is only asked in the CLAT exam, and you can prefer any good math practice book from Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Arihant Publications, 30 Days Wonder for Maths by S. Hand, or Quantitative Aptitude by RS. Aggarwal.
5. Legal Reasoning: This section is also dropped from AILET. You can follow the Legal Reasoning books of any writer from Pearson, Andhra Pradesh Bhardwaj, or RS Aggarwal.

At NLU in Delhi, the admissions counseling process is carried out following the successful announcement of the AILET entrance exam. Each applicant must complete document verification after being selected for admission to NLU, Delhi, in order to be taken into consideration for admission to this law school. The following documents must be presented during the counseling process at NLU, Delhi:
1. In case of B.A. LL.B. (Hons): The Marksheets of Class XII and Class X
2. For LL. M. admission: The marksheets of graduation in LL.B. Or equivalent, Class XII and Class X.
3. In the case of a Ph.D. programme, the marksheets of an LL. M. or equivalent, including other previous degree marksheets
4. The latest Character Certificate
5. Transfer Certificate
6. If you are applying for any other category than a valid category Certificate such as SC, ST, etc.

Usually, it is tougher to get through AILET than the CLAT exam due to the following reasons:
1. Less seats: The AILET is only for admission to NLU Delhi, and therefore the competition compared to available seats is higher in the AILET exam than in the CLAT exam.
2. Pattern: As per the latest syllabus, the logical reasoning section will have more weight in the AILET paper, making it more difficult to score.
3. Question type: The questions in the English, GK, and reasoning sections of AILET are more difficult than those on the CLAT paper.
4. Marking by weightage of score: The number of questions in both papers is the same, i.e., 150, but the weighting of the marks allotted to sections differs. Since there are five sections in CLAT you can pick up any three well-prepared sections to score as per your preparation. In AILET, you need to study all three sections thoroughly to pass, as the 150 marks are divided into three sections. However, the AIET 2023 will be conducted as per the updated pattern, and as per the analysis of the latest exam, this analysis could be updated.
