Hi, you have not mentioned the country in which you are applying for a visa. Generally, you need to have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 to apply for undergraduate education courses in a country such as Canada. Some universities also have a sectional-based requirement of no band less than 6 or 6.5. You can still apply for a visa with an overall IELTS score of 6.5. Some universities allow the 5.5 band with certain conditions, which are:
1. You may have to pass a university test.
2. Some colleges require you to enroll in an English as a Second Language programme, such as St. Clair College. For more clarification regarding your eligibility
