It depends on what you want to become in the future: a specialist officer in government or a district collector. Both are group A central services with the same pay scale and mostly similar perks. You can prefer Indian Economic Services for the following reasons:
1. IES works as an economic specialist in government. They have good command of their domain, unlike IAS officers. They will serve in government as economic advisers, administrators, and planners.
2. You can expect monthly performance-based incentives with this service, unlike IAS.
3. IES work life is comparably balanced to that of IAS. Which has a lot of work load, particularly during district posting.
4. IES can do a Ph.D. with government funding to excel in their field, whereas IAS can study for two to three years with government funding. You can prefer the Indian Administrative Service for the following reasons:
1. The IAS has greater authority than the IES cadre. When they are working as an SDM and DM they can instruct anyone to maintain law and order in their district, unlike IES.
2. IAS has a more diverse career life than IES. As an IAS. You can be posted in multiple departments, ranging from the economy to the cultural department. For instance, the current governor of the RBI is a retired IAS officer.
3. IAS can get lots of recognition when they work well in their current position. Since this service gives you direct exposure to the public, they can shower you with respect if you have done a memorable service for them.

Group A posts are superior to Group B posts in ESE, and a Group B officer reports to a Group A officer. CPES (Central Power Engineering Services) group posts: one who joins the post of Assistant Director I or Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) in the CEA (Central Electricity Authority). They report to Deputy Directors. CPES (Central Power Engineering Services) Group B posts: one who joins the post of Assistant Director II or Assistant Engineer (AE) in CEA. They are inferior in terms of rank to Assistant Director I. If you got your Group B job through ESE, it takes about 4 years to get to Group A. It depends on the preference of the aspirant, as both are respected and prestigious jobs. Here is a brief comparison to help you decide between the RBI PO and the Indian Economic Service:
1. Salary: The RBI PO or Grade B officer entry-level salary is approximately Rs. 68,000, which is slightly more than the IES officer salary of Rs. 67,000. In the long run, RBI Grade B officers earn more than IES officers.
2. Nature of the work: The RBI PO's work is of a generalist nature, which includes financial supervision, currency management, financial inclusion, etc. , while IES is a specialist post in matters of economic policy making and administration.
3. Authority: The RBI Grade B officer is not a gazetted officer, unlike the IES who is a gazetted officer in the government of India.
4. Career advancement: As a Grade B officer in the RBI one can advance to the position of Deputy Governor or, in some cases, Governor. As an IES officer, one can become the Secretary to the Government of India at the apex level. The career advancement opportunities are more abundant at RBI than IES.
5. Transfer: The RBI POs get frequent transfers every 4–5 years compared to the IES who spend most of the time in the capital, I. e. , Delhi.

For Junior Telecom Officer Group-B, you will have to undergo 6-7 months of training at the National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation & Training (NTIPRIT), Ghaziabad (including 2 months of attachment with Department of Telecommunications, Telecommunication Engineering Centre, and Licensed Service Areas). After successful completion of training, you will be posted as a JTO (basic pay INR 44900 per month, level 7) at field units of the Department of Telecommunications. There are three modes in which the Management Aptitude Test MAT is conducted by AIMA. The MAT is conducted four times a year in three modes:
1. Paper-based test (PBT) mode: This is an OMR-based test for which you have to report to the allotted test center.
2. Computer-Based Test (CBT) Mode: This is a computer-based test, but it also requires you to be present at the allotted test center.
3. Internet-Based Test (IBT): This is the most flexible one, and you have the option of taking the test on a computer system at home or at any other preferred place. The exam pattern and application fee are similar for all three modes. You need to pay the application fee of Rs. 1,850 to appear in any mode of the MAT exam

The MAT exam is an entrance exam for top MBA programs that is administered in three modes: PBT, CBT, and IBT modes. The MAT IBT exam is known as the Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT). It is the most convenient mode among the three. You can take a computer-based MAT exam at home or any other preferred location in the IBT in this mode. This was introduced in 2020 following the coronavirus outbreak. The exam pattern and marking are similar to PBT and CBT. The requirements to give the MAT IBT are as follows:
