Join a short term programme. Look for one around your locality. Such programs are usually run in holidays. Or if you are an IPS aspirant I would suggest devoting your time to study History and General Science. And solve some sample papers. It would give you an Idea about your current level and how much work you need to do.

Yes, it is decided on the basis of rank. But there are some chances that you will get petroleum engineering.
This time, they are not telling the rank beforehand. They will tell you if you will go for counselling or not. So there are more chances to get petroleum than before.

Hi Ritwik,
The top colleges will release its cut-off list above 90% only, especially in the first cut off. But yes, 87.5% marks is a good percentage, and you do have a chance of getting a good college under DU. If not in 1st cut off, I am sure you can get a good college as the 2nd cut-off list is published.

Mass communication is the study of media, journalism, public relations and often includes marketing communications as well. Visual communication is more design related. Students would need to learn how to use software such as Photoshop, various Adobe programs, etc. As a mass comm. student, I took visual communication as a module. Where we learnt basic Photoshop, photography, in-design and applying design to magazines, etc. We learn the basics. However, a Bachelors degree in visual communication would be more in-depth.

Hi Shiva,
I am sorry but you cannot because you will be asked to submit documents and the passing certificates of class 12th which I am assuming you don't have. You can, however, get passed and then pursue the same from the institutes offering during the month of Oct-Nov when the compartment results are out. I am sure, there are many.
All the best.
