Hi,
The placements Madras Institute of technology, Chennai is really good. The companies like Microsoft, Google, Accenture, etc. Co.E for recruitment.
The average salary packages range from 4-6 lakhs per annum. The highest package is around 20 lakhs per annum.
Since many core companies come for placement, you should be skilled enough to get placed but they would provide the placement training so that there is no problem.
The alumni network also recommends students from MIT.

I don't think so it's possible. Each university has its own syllabus and curriculum and if you shift the method of teaching and understanding may be completely different from one region to the other. It's not a good option though to change from one university to the other.

HI Hrithwik,
The cutoff varies every year according to the number of students applying for examination and number of seats available. It would be advisable that you get in touch with college authorities/official page directly for accurate cutoff which can help you in figuring out the appropriate college.
