If you have completed your 12th with decent scores you need not worry. 1 or 2 backlogs can be accepted but you must show good academic consistency. Take the IELTS too.

Hi,
Yes, it is a good choice. SSN is a very reputed Institute under Anna University. It is known for its faculty (mostly PhDs from IITs), infrastructure (with latest technologies) and placements.
EEE is a core branch of engineering so that it is a good choice of doing it from SSN with a good faculty.
It also offers more opportunities for doing MS abroad by giving coaching to GRE, GMAT, GATE, etc. and also gives a great platform for extracurricular activities.

This time round, ensure you have a neat analysis of weak areas, important areas, degree of increment in marks that you are looking at, your real areas of strength and work hard on them.
