Ehsan, this is a specific technical question pertaining to civil engineering and therefore you might not get reasonable good answers for this from many experts. The best source for the answer would be your books, your Lecture and the engineers who have actually worked on such projects.

Hi Nishant,
Well if you are rating an institute on its distance, i really think that this may not be the right way to head for a quality education. Instead it is better that you compare the three listed institutes on the other important factors and may then decide for the best among the three, as it is not possible to compare the three on our end as all the ones mentioned are well reputed and recognized however, BIT and St.Xaviers are regarded better than NSHM, as the prior too have years to its establishment and have succeeded in imparting quality education for years.

Hi S. K. Samdani,
As there is no public rating or neutral ranking given to these Distance learning institutes all are placed equally, however, few of the things which you should check before joining any institute are: : First and foremost the recognition of the Institute (the institute must be recognized by UGC or AICTE & DEC in case of Distance programme), Secondly, the course curriculum and the study material, The infrastructure, Last but not least Institutes reputation in the job market for which you should visit the institute and try and get few of the alumnae contacts as well. This will give you a real picture about the institute.
