Now there is a section which could not make it by a whisker, for several reasons including, lack of proper guidance, hardwork, training, resources e

Yes, it is very much possible to clear the IIT examination without doing a coaching in one year. You just have to focus on the course and clear the concept. And give regular practise examination. Continuous practise and hardwork will eventually make your way to IITs.
All the best.

Hi, there is a really big difference between Invention and Research, but I got the gist. Data Analysis isn't a research area pursued by CS guys, as it's well said
Engineering grads care about, which algorithm or Model fix's better while a Statistical needs to why as well. The ratio in our country is over 100:1 because everyone knows Maths ain't easy, and Statistics in particular is too much for most. But a lot of college have Ph.D. prof. who push the student in BE to do some research which lead them in research directions, so it's your choice either CS or Mathematics in B.Sc. Or B.Tech. Beginner-Level 5

It solely depends on your choice that you love technology or pure Science so first make it sure because your Mains scores arena't so bad there are chances that they may fetch you a NIT or iiit or a government college of engineering but that is of no use if you don't love technology if you are interested in Science go for B.Sc. Because that also has a vivid scope and you may get chance to go to foreign Universities for Masters. So
Best of luck.
