You may able to get admission in some private universities or B Schools where admission process is not stringest. But I am of the opinion MBA should be done from a good college to give boost to your career. Therefore, it is advised that you may prepare and appear for CAT, XAT and MAT next year to seek admission in a prestigious B School.

If you have done your Diploma then you can get admission in Lateral Entry Eligibility Criteria is
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent. ME B.Tech is perfectly fine here in the terms of academics and placements. For B.Tech in any field placements are really upto the mark. LPU is good for Mechatronics. I depends upon your interest and you must see that the books of which subject are easily available in your city.
But if you ask me about which subject to choose, I would prefer sociology or public administration because these are easy subjects and easily understandable. Besides, anthropology is also a good and competition is also less for it.
But again, your choice must completely depend on your interest.
