Well let me answer your questions second part first. The minimum education qualification required to apply for IAS exam is a graduate degree in any discipline from a well recognized University, and with age not exceeding more than 30years.

Now coming to the first part where your focus is your masters after the completion of bachelors in sociology. There are ample options to choose from, beginning with Masters in Sociology itself, other than this you can look for MBA, Masters in Public Administration, Psychology, NGO management and many more like wise. There are many choices but then the decision has to come from you depending on your area of interest and personal preference.
