The admission in COEP is based on marks obtained in MHT-CET taken by Maharashtra State Government. If you score 181 out of 200 in CET, it is guaranteed that you can get a seat in COEP for Computer Science branch.

Cut-off marks states that if you have that marks or above that marks, then you have successfully qualified the exam. In JEE Mains, if you have a score more than or equal to the cut-off, then you are qualified to sit for JEE Advanced. For all the other entrances, it depends. Some give rankings to only those candidates who have marks more than cut off marks.
