With 42%, the only possible options are extremely low grade universities, you will not be granted a visa and might be even deported back to India, such is the situation. This is not to demotivate you, but you need to be aware of the reality outside. Check for options in India, if you do well in engineering and score above 55%, you may consider going abroad.

Hi,
You may apply to Canada or Australia for MS and get PR too. You can start working after 6 months off campus or as an intern after joining the course. The limit to that is 20 hours per week while studying and full time during vacation.

Nobody can guarantee you a job. If you complete your MS in a STEM related subject in US, you can obtain the 24 months OPT during which you can work in an area related to your field. If you will get a job will depend on your own skills and qualification. You must network excessively and improve your leadership/communication skills.
