Notes on Eligibility
Eligiblity for the Doctoral degree program at UBC requires completion of a Bachelor's degree + Master's degree or M.Phil. Degree
The minimum TOEFL score required for all applicants to the Faculty of Graduate Studies is 80 for the internet-based exam and 550 for the paper-based exam.
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 is required with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component of the academic (NOT general) IELTS test.

In order to pursue Phd, from universities abroad, you need to first of all make a list of the universities that you aspire for, then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students.
It may take three to six years to complete your PHD, depending on the field you select and your mentor.
The general eligibility criteria for PHD students are as follows :
In majority of the institutes, Master's Degree is an essential pre-requisite for a Ph.D. while others admit graduates too.
It is important that you have good scores in common entrance tests such as GRE and English Language examinations like TOEFL.
Internships or other work experience will add to your qualifications
Ph.D. course work essentially includes research and documentation work. This requires large amounts of money. In addition to this, you have to consider living expenses for the entire duration of the course. The annual expenses of most Ph.D. students are about $28,000-$40,000 per year

There are some things that you should bear in mind before they appear for the exams. They are:
*Read your notes and practice writing it down everyday.
*First tackle the hard part and then get to the easy part. You will be able to cover all their portions this way.
*Studying sample papers of the preceding years will help you stay informed about the syllabus as well as the latest changes in the question pattern.
*Always be prepared to work hard and put up a systematic study plan

Germany is one of the best study destination to pursue MS, the degree from German universities is world wide acclaimed and acknowledged, the duration of MS course in Germany is 1.5 -2 years.
The cost of education in Germany is very less as compare to US and UK, but you need to have a very good academic background with good GRE and IELTS score to get admission German universities.
Since Germany is the non English speaking country, it is always advisable to do some basic German language course before leaving for Germany.
Apart from Germany: US, UK and Canada are also good study destination to pursue MS in pharma and related studies.
The duration of Masters course in US and Canada is 2 years whereas the duration of Masters course in UK is 1 Year.

Applicationforms may be obtained, either in person or through a messenger, fromthe University Information j Counter on paying the notified fee duringworking hours (11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 2-30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays toFridays, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays). Forms may be alsoobtained by post on sending a crossed demand draft for the requisiteamount drawn in favour of 'Jadavpur University' and accompanied by aself-addressed stamped (Rs.4) envelope (size: 2'5 cm.x 10 cm.). Theremittance should be sent to the Senior Superintendent, InformationOffice, Jadavpur University, Kolkata-700 032.
All application forms must be properly filled in. Incomplete or irregular forms will be rejected.
Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
Acceptanceof the application does not guarantee issue of admit card or call tointerview or admission test, let alone actual admission. Theapplication fee is not refundable under any circumstance.
Theoriginal admit card (for age verification) and original marksheet ofthe last qualifying public examination, with all other relevantdocuments, are to be produced at the time of written test or Interviewand also, if the candidate is selected, at the time of admission.
