VIT University will conduct the VITEEE 2018 counselling in offline mode for qualified candidates from May 9 to 11, 2018 for Phase I. The counselling of VITEEE 2018 for Phase II will be held from May 14 to 18. However, the counselling of VITEEE only at VIT Bhopal Campus for Phase II will be held on May 19 and 20. To participate in VITEEE counselling 2018, candidates need to visit the designated counselling venue as per their ranks and the scheduled time. It's mandatory for candidates to bring their Counselling E-Admit Card, Result copy, Aadhaar Card and Documents to the counselling venue. The admission authority will inform the candidates about the counselling schedule either through sms or mail. At the venue, first of all they have to register themselves, and after the registration, candidates have to appear for the documents verification at the venue alloted by the admission authority. Candidates will be allotted seat based on their rank secured in VITEEE, during the counselling session. At the VIT counselling centre, candidates will be able to find out the availability of seats for different branches in different participating institutes. This will help candidates to make an appropriate choice related to courses and colleges that they will fill during the VITEEE 2018 counselling.

It is good choice, B.Sc. In Microbiology is a 3- year long, full- time course divided into 6 semesters, with each semester lasting for a period of 6 months. Microbiology has emerged as a key biological Science, since microorganisms provide the model used in molecular biology for research purposes. Such research at the molecular level has provided, and continues to provide answers to numerous fundamental questions in Genetics, Metabolism, Cell forms & functions. There is a growing recognition of the potential of microorganisms in a range of applied areas. The ability of microorganisms to degrade oil in oil spills, herbicides, pesticides, and to supplement food, produce energy, besides other uses of microorganisms is becoming increasingly relevant and useful. Microbiologists study these organisms using tools, like microscopes, genetics, and culturing. Microscopes allow scientists to magnify microbial cells that are otherwise too small to SEE. Genetics and Molecular Biology help scientists understand the evolutionary relationships between microbes and their habitats. Culturing is the term used to describe growing microbes, usually combined with tests to see what the microbes like to eat or what conditions they can live in. Eligibility for B.Sc. In Microbiology:
Completion of Higher Secondary (10+2) level of education
Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects at HSC level
Minimum aggregate score of 60% at the level
Instead of Biology, one may even have had Zoology or Botany as one of the main subjects of study
