Yes, it is same. MIT is one of the constituent colleges of Anna University. So, you need to apply via TNEA counselling to get admission into any of these two colleges.

Candidates who have cleared their graduation with at least 50% marks are eligible for North-Eastern Hill University admissions in PG courses. Admissions in most professional courses are done on the basis of a candidates score in the entrance exam conducted by the university.
